September 1 Flu Update

Due to a death in the family, the blog will not publish on September 3. We should update September 4, possibly on the 5th.

There's another death in Vietnam, strongly believed to be from the bird flu.

Government officials in Australia are calling for a regional bird flu summit among countries in the region.

The UN warning from yesterday may a great deal of news today, like this.

Russia claims again that the flu outbreak is subsiding.

OK, here's one we never covered. A Thai Rock Star is defending cockfighting and criticizing culling..."just give me that old time Rock 'n Roll, that kind of music just saves your soul."

Meanwhile, a report says Thailand is monitoring two regions for bird flu.
