May 20 Flu Update

More from China--more than 50,000 birds scheduled to be culled.

I knew this wasn't going to pass without comment...Indonesia's Health Minister has been appointed to the WHO Board...Revere represents public opinion on the craziness of this.

Thailand is going to assist Cambodia in the bird flu fight.

A flu workshop is scheduled for York, PA.

Orange;

You are certainly right about the announcement of Indonesian Health Minister, Siti Fadilah Supari’s unanimous election to the WHO’s Executive Board.

Revere call’s it “grotesque” in his commentary. I call it the route to “easy UN money”.

I also think it is a good example of where the “consensus is the absence of leadership”.

Now we have two of the finest health care poster children on the UN WHO Executive Board: Margaret Chan and Ms. Supari.

I predict both will be remembered in history as the two primary individuals who endorsed and allowed China and Indonesia’s refusal to provide up-to-date H5N1 virus isolate samples to the rest of the world, and who subsequently caused untold millions of deaths around the globe.

Ms. Chan has yet to prove she’s worth her salary – so far she hasn’t made the grade.

Ms Supari should be inoculating chickens eighteen hours a day, where at least she would pose less of a danger to the world.

What’s the next abomination – Nobel Peace Prize nominations ?(yeah, I know, this sounds awful Jesse Jackson-ish).
